Terms of Service

This website is operated by Outlet Direct LLC, doing business as USA Computer Surplus ("we", "us"). By placing an order you agree to these terms.

Our products

  • Every product is listed as either New or Refurbished - Excellent. The condition appears in the product title and next to the price. Our Condition Guide explains what each means.
  • Refurbished computers are previously owned. They are tested, cleaned and reinstalled by us, and they may show light wear.
  • Most listings use manufacturer photos of the model rather than photos of the exact unit. The condition stated in the listing is what you receive.
  • We are an independent reseller. Brand names such as Dell, HP, Lenovo and Microsoft belong to those companies and are used to describe the products we sell.

Prices and availability

  • Prices are in US dollars and can change without notice.
  • Stock is limited, and some items are one of a kind. If an item sells out after you order it, we'll contact you and refund you in full.
  • We try to keep listings accurate. If a price or specification is clearly wrong, we may cancel the order and refund you rather than honor the mistake.
  • Sales tax is added where required. Texas customers are charged Texas sales tax. Tax-exempt buyers such as schools and resellers should email us their exemption certificate before ordering.

Orders

  • Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we ship the item.
  • We may cancel and refund an order if we suspect fraud, if the billing and shipping details don't match, or if we can't supply the item.
  • Products are sold for end use or legitimate resale. We may decline orders we believe are fraudulent.

Warranty, returns and shipping

Every computer comes with our 30-Day Limited Warranty. New products also carry the manufacturer's warranty stated on the product page. Returns are covered by our Return Policy, and delivery by our Shipping Policy. Those documents are part of these terms.

Your data and software

  • Back up your files before returning or sending in any computer. We are not responsible for data left on a device.
  • Refurbished computers ship with Windows reinstalled under the license that belongs to the machine. Any software you install afterwards is your responsibility.

Your account

If you create an account, keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else is using it. You're responsible for activity on your account.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for the products in it. We are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost data or business interruption. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law, and some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place an order is the version that applies to it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas.
